Ways to Cruise Lake Champlain

From romantic sunset cruises for two, to a tandem cruise with a dozen of your friends, there is a cruise for every occasion!

  • Rent an entire boat (or both!) to yourself. You can enjoy your own private cruise with your friends, family, or coworkers.

There's no better way to commemorate a special occasion with the people you care about than by sharing a unique experience together. Create a tailored sailing experience for two hours that you'll never forget!

  • Individuals and couples most commonly book seats on a public cruise, but some couples choose to book a private cruise.

  • For small groups (4-6 guests) we recommend booking a private cruise, but you are welcome to book seats on a public cruise and be with others.

  • For groups of 7 -12 people we ask that you book a private charter. If your group is between 13-28 people there is a tandem cruise option to book two, three, four, or all of our boats together. We sail the boats in tandem and engage in some light-hearted racing!

PUBLIC CRUISES
Public cruises typically host 6 to 10 guests, plus a captain and deckhand. The experience is shared but intimate, with beautiful views and great company.

PRIVATE CRUISES
Private cruises are just your group, a captain, and a possibly a deckhand depending on group size. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, corporate events, or simply enjoying the boat to yourselves.

  • Our ships are crewed by a licensed captain and a deckhand, so don't worry if you don't know how to sail. You’re there to sit back, relax and enjoy your day on the lake!

  • We don't have a set course, but there is so much to explore including sunken shipwrecks, historic battle sites, islands, and miles of gorgeous Lake Champlain shoreline.

  • If you're sailing in May, June, September, or October, it's a good idea to bring extra layers. It's usually cooler on the water than it is on shore and we want to make sure you're comfortable. We do have extra fleeces and blankets on board for you if necessary.

  • Our cruises are BYO food and drinks. We have serveware, glassware, and a cold ice box on board for your use. We recommend finger foods like sandwiches, cheese boards, etc. in lieu of items you'd need silverware for.

  • Kids of any age welcome on private charters. Kids under 13 years old must wear a life jacket. Kids under 13 are not permitted on public sunset cruises and kids under 5 are not allowed on public cruises.

  • Our ships sit at the same level as the dock, with a step into the seating area that is about one foot down. Please let us know if you would like more information, or if you think this could be prohibitive for you. We can take extra steps to make sure the boarding process is comfortable and safe for you.

  • Not every day is great for sailing. We do not sail in rain, thunderstorms, or dangerous conditions. If we have to cancel your cruise due to the weather, we will issue you a full refund or you can reschedule to a different cruise.

  • We love all furry friends -but unfortunately, pets are not permitted on board for safety reasons.

  • There is a small marine "head" on board both boats. It is fairly rudimentary and is down a steep ladder, so it can be difficult to access if you are less agile. We advise guests to use the onshore facilities prior to boarding.
