Originally designed for lobster and cod fishing in Maine, Friend Ship and Wild Rose are traditional Friendship Sloops. The folks in an around Friendship, Maine, honed a design that could get them home in any kind of weather and were safe and sturdy enough to hold a good day's fishing haul. Due to their stability, comfort, and inherent charm, Friendship sloops are the perfect vessels for experiencing Lake Champlain under sail.
Two Sides of the Same Coin
Our two vessels are are sisters that were built just two years apart by renowned boatbuilder, Jarvis Newman. They are the exact same size, but the capacity on each differs due to the deck configuration. The overall aesthetic, sails, and rigging on the two boats is almost identical.
